F.A.Q.
If you have any question that is not answered in our FAQ, please contact us and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
First Things First, How Much?
I can’t give you exact figure for everything, there are a lot of variables. I can give you a price for some things though, and I can tell you what might affect the price.
Do You Offer Any Physical Products?
We do. We can make prints, books, calendars, wall art printed on various media like canvas or metal, pretty much anything you can think of. We do the bigger stuff with a professional, secure vendor, guaranteeing quality, professionalism, and discretion. We don’t like to push add-on expenses, so please ask if you are interested in additional products.
Do You Offer Any Discounts?
Yes! Mention you read this FAQ for 15% off. We also offer 10% off to active duty military and veterans and their immediate families.
Do You Shoot Family, Child, Pet, or Product Photos?
Not in studio. Our home studio is small and not really appropriate for shooting groups larger than two or three, which is why we like to stick to individual and couples photos. The space is also not child friendly and I am allergic to most pets. We can definitely shoot product photography but our experience would best lend itself to products that are on a person.
You’ve Said “Home Studio”, What Can I Expect?
We are fortunate that we have enough space to have built our dream studio. Not only that but we’ve built in our home which saves us a lot of money, allowing us to pass that savings on to you, our customer. We have a dedicated 400 sq. ft. Studio with a separate changing room, and several other sets available in different areas. The photos below are are of our studio along with some shots we’ve produced in the studio.
Can You Provide A Make-Up Artist Or Do I Do My Own Hair And Make-Up?
It’s up to you, you can do your own, you can bring your own make-up artist, or we can connect you with a very talented make-up artist we work with. Using our make-up artist will be a separate charge.
What Should I Look For In A Location For An On-Location Shoot, Or How Should I Prepare A Location I Want To Use?
This is a difficult question. When taking a photograph everything in frame should be deliberate, meaning there shouldn’t be anything in the photo that doesn’t reinforce the main message. Every bit of non-essential… stuff… should be removed. It’s always easier to add a couple of elements back in than to start selectively removing things. This is why studio settings are easier than rental spaces, and rental spaces are better than lived in spaces. You want a clean space that is as clutter free as possible.
Can You Find a Suitable Location For My Photo And/Or Video Shoot?
We’d be happy to! Just give us a theme, a general area, and a budget and we’ll find the perfect spot!
Do You Do Passport Photos?
I can, but you’ll save a lot of money and time going to a CVS.
Is the Studio Covid Safe?
Honestly, no, there’s not a lot of face to face interactions these days that could be considered safe. But, we know the risks and how to best mitigate them. I, the photographer, will be wearing a mask for the entire shoot and I ask my clients to also mask up when not actively on camera. The studio is large and there will not be a lot of time when we are within 6 feet of each other. We sanitize everything between appointments and there will be anti-bacterial wipes available.
